Ability to Benefit (ATB)
Access to financial aid plays a critical role in a student's ability to access and complete a postsecondary program. Under the Ability to Benefit (ATB) provision of the Higher Education Act, students enrolled in Title IV eligible programs who have neither a high school diploma nor its recognized equivalent may qualify for financial aid by passing a federally approved test.
ACCUPLACER is provisionally approved by the U.S. Department of Education for ATB purposes.
