How is ACCUPLACER scored?

The ACCUPLACER tests have a scaled score range of 200-300. Scores are obtained from a computer adaptive test (CAT). The CAT algorithm uses a sophisticated formula that is based on the difficulty of each item and whether it is answered correctly or incorrectly. Students are required to answer every item.
