FAQ
What is the process for completing an ACCUPLACER New Institution Request (NIR)?
Before completing a New Institution Request (NIR), please review our website to ensure that you understand what we offer and are ready to complete this process.
- Access to ACCUPLACER is granted to higher education institutions that are degree-granting, and nationally (or internationally) accredited by public departments of national, state, and/or system educational governance. Applications by nonprofit organizations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Institutions who wish to use ACCUPLACER for Ability to Benefit (ATB) should not complete a NIR. Instead, email [email protected] to request an ATB account.
- THIS PROCESS IS NOT FOR STUDENTS.
When completing the NIR, make sure to provide your institutional contact information instead of your personal information—i.e. your institution's address, phone number, and email.
Please allow 7 business days for your application to be reviewed. If your application is approved, you will receive an email containing your Institution Administrator login credentials along with instructions for setting up your account. In addition, your account will be credited 25 complimentary test units. We encourage institutions to use these complimentary units to familiarize their staff with test administration and to test software used for delivering test sessions with accommodations.
